08/28/2010 - Paramus, NJ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Scotland's Martin Laird carded a six-under 65 in the third round Saturday to grab a three-stroke lead at The Barclays.

Laird, who won the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open last year, completed 54 holes at 12-under-par 201.

Second-round leader Jason Day managed a one-under 70, but slipped into a share of second place at minus-nine. He was joined there by Dustin Johnson (64), who is playing for the first time since a penalty cost him a spot in the playoff at the PGA Championship.

Day's fellow Australian Adam Scott carded a three-under 68 to move into fourth place at eight-under-par 205.

Tiger Woods was unable to overcome a triple-bogey on the first hole, where his drive soared out of bounds. He birdied the last two holes at Ridgewood Country Club to shoot one-over 72, which dropped him into a share of 28th at three- under-par 210.

Academy Award Betting Odds for Best Picture Offer Great Value

Points (or Runs) Scored

Another bet across all major team sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey involves wagering on the amount of scoring in a game, called an Over/Under total. For example, the Over/Under total on Super Bowl XXXIX was 48, which means a bettor could wager whether there would be more or less than 48 points scored by both teams combined in the game.

The final score of Super Bowl XXXIX was 24-21; the scoring of both teams added up to 45, which means the game went Under . So Under bettors won, and Over bettors lost.

For example, a 6-point teaser would move the line on a 7-point favorite from -7 to -1, meaning the team would have to cover 6 less points.
